Services
As a Communication Strategist and Registered General Civil Mediator, there are many ways in which I can help you or your organization, especially as it relates to the art of persuasion or helping parties view their positions in a new light which helps them reach consensus and resolution. Here is a general listing of services broken down by category.
Business Services
These are services I provide on a Business to Business basis:
Marketing Writing
I have a strong background in creating compelling copywriting, especially for technical and industrial businesses. What you receive is the skill of a practiced expert with industry knowledge, not someone with an English Literature background posing as a copywriter until that novel of theirs is finally published. Copywriting services include the following.
- Direct Mail, Sales Letter, and Print Ad Copy
- Radio Ad Scripts and Voice Talent
- Business Correspondence (internal/ external)
- Newsletter and Magazine Articles, White Papers, and News Releases
- Website/Blog/ Multi-Media Content
- Short Sales Proposals
Marketing Consulting
Where are you, and where do you want to go? One major hurdle for the small business is building a cogent and coherent strategy for approaching the marketplace, as well as creating synergy between different marketing materials to make sure they are conveying the same branding and messaging. Before developing major new pieces of marketing collateral, such as a website upgrade or new brochure, I recommend a session of this nature to discuss overall marketing strategy and to give suggestions on how to achieve marketing goals.
Meeting/ Small Group Facilitation
Ever have meetings that feel like they go nowhere? Either you’ve drowsed and doodled your way through one, or you’ve been the one with no results to show after spending a lot of time, effort, and money to get everyone on the same page. If this scenario is all too familiar, consider having an objective meeting facilitator come in to lead your discussions, ask the right questions, maintain focus, build consensus, and achieve tangible outcomes. Meetings are too expensive and time consuming not to get results, and my sales, leadership, and mediation experience can make sure you’re getting what you need.
Speaking and Seminars
Maybe before or as part of your next big meeting, you want to cover some ground to help everyone be more effective as part of your group dynamic. I am available to speak on these or related topics.
- Conflict Resolution in the Office
- Effectiveness in Dealing with Difficult Customers
- Better Business Writing
- Motivational and Keynote Addresses
Personal Services
Ever wish you had your own communications and marketing staff? Actually, it’s easier than you think!
Documentation
Writing comes easier to some than to others. Do you want to wager your career options and personal status, achieving less than you know you can, because it’s not your best area? That’s when you can use help with:
- Resumes
- Cover Letters
- Complaint and Formal Grievance Letters
I help you to formulate the right words. You put your name to it. It’s that easy!
Conflict Coaching
This is a new area of practice for those who are involved in stressful conflicts at home, work, or with another third party, who simply need an objective voice to help them clarify their own issues, be able to restate those issues in a way to avoid exacerbating the conflict and to potentially work towards understanding, and to help generate possible ideas and solutions to solve the problem at hand. Conflict coaching is not about working as your counsel, therapist, or advocate, but rather it is to help you develop your own solutions and see the problem in as clear a way as possible so that you may work towards your own resolution. While a coach can help you find your own voice, it is a way for you to own and manage your own life and outcomes.
General Civil Mediation
Many parties involved in a dispute see the courts as their only option. The fact is that this option is costly, time consuming, and places the outcomes entirely in the hands of a third party such as a judge or jury. In reality, no one else will ever understand a disagreement as well as the principals involved, and there are a great many advantages to finding faster and more effective outcomes. The courts are actively using Alternative Dispute Resolution methods such as Mediation, and I have been through the State of Georgia’s Registration procedure to act as a General Civil Mediator. In private practice, you can work with a Mediator before a case is ever brought before a court or even before paperwork is filed. By mutual consent, two parties can agree to work with a Mediator who will work with both parties to help them clarify issues and find a solution that both parties create and agree upon. This process is entirely confidential, and in absence of resolution within mediation, neither party may use anything said or presented at the mediation in subsequent litigation. This process allows the parties an open structure to air and resolve their differences while maintaining control over the outcomes.
